Trend to Try: Crayon-Colored Pants

I’ll admit it. I’ve been very slow to come around to this trend, mostly because I’m so not into dumping money into something that will be dated in a month. But rainbow-colored legs seem to have a bit of staying power.

What I’m drawn to is the fact that you can dress to match your mood. Feeling like a little ray of sunshine? Throw on some yellow skinnies. Embracing the thought of spring? Go for some cropped mint jeans. Or maybe you’re feeling a little extra diva like. Throw on some bright red power pants!

Right now I’m particularly drawn to cobalt. I’m not sure what that says about me or my mood (feel free to dissect me in the comments section), but I think it’s such a fun, happy color–and it can be paired with so many other colors!

Aside from your standard neutrals, I can see pairing these with red, pink, yellow, and–my fave!–green. So many fun options and lots of great opportunities for color blocking!

I’m going to have to opt into this one, though I’ll probably get a pair from Old Navy or Forever21 to keep my cost down just in case.

How about you? Are you going to color those legs of yours? And if you already have, where did you get your favorite pair?

  1. The most daring I will be is white jeans, which I recently bought from White House Black Market and love them! I think as I get older, colour is for the top not the bottom??

    1. That’s so funny because I’m way more afraid of white than any other color. It’s so unforgiving! I’d rather find a colored pant in a cut that works for my body. Good for you for going white though! You’re a much braver woman than I! lol

  2. I love this trend! I think it might stay for a while. I just convinced my friend to buy a pair of cobalt colored skinnies and she loved them. I can’t wait to wear a pair of red ones with leopard heels!
