In case you haven’t noticed, I’m a huge fan of laid back bohemian fashion–especially in the warm months. It’s easy and comfortable, which are two absolutely key points when I’m headed into the trenches (aka the grocery store) with my babies in tow.
Camila Alves, also know as Mrs. Matthew McConaughey, is a bona fide expert at making bohemian look pulled together–something that’s not always as easy as it sounds (it’s really not that difficult to end up looking like a homeless Olsen twin).
I guess you would have to be a bohemian champion when your husband doesn’t seem to own a shirt (note to the universe: I’m not complaining).
Camila Alves :: Betsey Johnson wayfarer sunglasses :: Lucky Brand Jeans embroidered peasant top :: Steve Madden handbag :: Ann Taylor curvy denim slim jeans :: Sam Edelman sandal
Straight leg pant + flowy top + flats = a winning combination in my book. Camila looks totally put together here, but she would also be able to chase those two little munchkins down the sidewalk if they suddenly took off towards a playground.
And stylish? The girl looks amazing.
Straight leg pants are my favorites right now. Add a loose top (which is the best kind for hiding any pooch that tries to sneak out over the top of your pants) and some comfy shoes and you’re ready to go, go, go.
This is just as easy as yoga pants and a t-shirt, but you look like you put a little more thought into it. And when you look better you feel better, right? Looks like this are going to become my go-to for the summer. I feel it in my bones already.
What does your warm weather uniform look like?
I love this look but would look but non-defined shirts look horrible on me!! I’m so jealous of people that can pull it off though!
Lol what the hell did I write there? I think you know what I meant
Lol, I gotcha.
I bet your problem with non-defined tops is that your boobs are too big. lol. Did you ever try nipping one in at the waist a little with a belt? It definitely wouldn’t work on everything, but it’s worth a try (says the girl with a fear of belts).
Haha, I also have a fear of belts! Although I have been loving those skinny bright ones.. I need a yellow one in my life.
Ooooh, good call! I can sneak some yellow in like that too!
I always love the bohemian look in theory, but it just doesn’t seem to work for me. Camila always looks awesome! My go to summer outfit is usually a pencil skirt, top and heels or an easy summer dress. Heather
It can definitely be tricky! I think the key is proportions and remembering to dress for your body type! Too many ladies go straight for a trend–even if it works against their body!
I too love laid back bohemian fashion. I would go for that denim shorts and white cotton top outfit. With sexy booties please.
I’m all for sexy style, but the momma in me would have to leave the sexy booties behind. Lol. Flat sandals for the errand running win!
I do love Camilla’s boho style. She’s so chic!
I’m trying out the boyfriend jean this week. What do you think?

I totally agree! And it’s not always easy to make boho look chic!
