gift guide for dads and grads

I was brainstorming post ideas like a boss the other day (aka writing down a barely coherent list of ideas that could possibly one day maybe be interesting for anyone to click on), when I realized that two of my sloppily written notes were eerily similar: gifts for dads and grads.

When I sat down to try and figure out what might make for good ideas for either of these lists, I realized the crossover rate was straight up insane. Are dads just college bros with a job and watered down jokes? Mayhaps, my friends. Mayhaps…gifts for dads and grads

scratch map / mustache and beard comb / Tequila Mockingbird book: cocktail recipes with a literary twist / portable grill / inspirational wall art by Vintage Skies / bowling set / weekender bag by Canvas Leather Art / portable ping-pong set / Beats Solo HD headphones

I mean, am I right or what? They might use each of these things in different ways (for instance, grads would use the headphones to rock out to dope beats, while dads would use them to block out piercing shrieks), but the similarities—at least for one-size-fits-most gifts—is mind boggling.

Now I’m trying to figure out if there’s a broad type of category that moms crossover with. I haven’t been able to come up with anything (us moms are just way more nuanced than those filthy rapscallions we call “dads”). But if you do, you have to tell me.

Do you have any ideas for gifts for dads and grads that further prove my point? Or do you think I’m way off base?
