Food and Wine Tasting to Benefit Ossining Children's Center

“No act of kindness, however small, is ever wasted.” —Aesop

In hopes of talking less and doing more when it comes to helping others, I’ve decided to start a series I’m calling Good Samaritan Saturday. Each Saturday morning, I’ll post a little something you can do to start your weekend out with positive vibes by helping to lift someone else up…

Not all of these posts will be local, but I’m starting this series out with a fundraising event here in Westchester. On Thursday, May 28th, The Ossining Children’s Center is having a food and wine tasting at the Westchester Marriott in Tarrytown which will help support their tuition assistance program. The program ensures that families of all income levels can afford their programs instead of having to rely on sub-standard child care. They currently have 140 children from 8 weeks to 5 years old and before and after school care for grades K – 7.

There’s nothing like helping out a family in need while having a night out on the town. But if you’re not local or have something going on that night, you can donate whatever you can afford here.

More info on the food and wine tasting is available on The Ossining Children’s Center website or you can call Claudia Weger at 914-941-0230 x12.
