My baby is three years old today and I’m having a hard time with it.

Miss Elyssa is the definition of sugar and spice. She’s sweet and cuddly and gives the best hugs. She’ll drop everything if she thinks her sister is sad and we have to remind her often that sometimes you have to give a little less love (like when your arms are wrapped a little too tightly around your younger cousin).

But don’t let all of that sweetness fool you. Underneath her thick layer of love is a feisty little momma who knows what she wants and how to get it. Pain bounces right off of her and you better watch out when she turns into a little thundercloud.

She loves Frozen and Doc McStuffins and Sheriff Callie. She could play with little dolls and figures all day long. She’s amazingly talented at putting together puzzles and makes a mean soup with the pieces of said puzzles. She likes to do “cwafty fings” and idolizes her big sister. She has each and every one of us wrapped around her sweet little finger.

Now I’m going to cry, so I’ll leave you to look at how big my bean has gotten while I find a box of tissues.infant Ellieellie week onefirst sister pickinfant beanellie meets carrieellie apple pickingmessy beantoddler toessecond birthdayellie and carriecruisingfairy beanmysticlellow fwowersleepy cheeks
