Well. I finally did it. I’ve literally been talking about this since before Ellie (who is now TWO AND A HALF) was born. But yesterday afternoon I sucked it up and decided to put myself out there. I listed my first few pieces in my new Etsy shop, Jennifer Garry Designs.

Part of the reason I’ve been putting it off for so long is that I had visions of a grand unveiling. I wanted a shop that was bursting with goodies and enough time to pitch my brand to other bloggers and cross my fingers that they would like a few of my pieces enough to feature them in some way or another.

But you know what? All that led to was a lot of talk. There was always something coming up to distract me or make me put everything off. When I realized that I had seven necklaces made and ready to ship I decided that baby steps are better than no steps.

So I did it.

Right now my shop consists of just those seven necklaces. The shop needs some work, but my biggest hurdle (starting the thing!) has been conquered and I’m hoping the rest won’t seem so overwhelming from here.

I plan to add some bracelets and earrings and possibly stuff for the littlest ladies in our lives, but for right this second I’m just kind of thrilled that I did it. And also, I’m going to go back to freaking out about the freelance project with the rapidly approaching deadline that I’ve been avoiding. 😉

If you click over to my shop, please pop back in and let me know what your favorite piece is! Also, if there’s anything you’d like to see let me know that too!

Jen is a freelance writer and girl mom from New York. When she's not knee-deep in glittery crafts and girl talk, you can probably find her sprawled across her couch in the middle of a Netflix marathon with dark chocolate smeared on her face. The struggle is real.
