kimonos: Ecote and Forever 21

I’ve always been a sort of “crunchy granola” girl. I like bare feet and messy hair and layers. So I guess it shouldn’t be that surprising that I’m really feeling the whole boho kimono trend (some places are calling them kimonos, others are calling them kimono cardigans or kimono jackets. If you ask me, it’s all pretty much the same thing). This latest love of mine takes my cardigan obsession and puts a summer spin on it.

I’m ninety-nine percent sure that if I walked out of the house wearing one, my husband would ask me why I was wearing my bathrobe to the store. And you know what? I think I’m OK with that.

My favorites are the sheer, patterned ones without the fringe. I’m totally drawn to fringe on other people, but can’t seem to imagine myself wearing it and not feeling like I’m wrapped in grandma’s blanket. I also need to find one on a Forever 21 budget in case I decide I’m so over the whole thing more quickly than I expect. I know you know what I mean.

Are you guys feeling these too? The more I look at them the more I think they’re are entirely necessary. Not quite chocolate level, but necessary.
