Hot Moms Oscars 2014 fashion: Jennifer Garner

I like snark. I do. It can make me laugh when I’m otherwise feeling kind of crappy. And when it’s witty it can be real good.

I was all set to pull out the snark when it came to red carpet recaps (because, um, I’m completely incapable of skipping them—no matter how hard my husband makes fun of me and the ridiculousness of the whole thing), but I just can’t this year.

From Lupita to Let it Go, last night was a hardcore Girl Power fest and, while ragging on dresses might be fun, it kind of takes away from the whole thing for me. I can’t exactly bask in the awesome afterglow of ladies ruling the night while I’m sitting in my slippers and messy bun tearing down the looks I didn’t like.

Instead, I decided to focus on the hot mommas that were out in full, fabulous force last night—and if you have a problem with that, you can go tell it to Adele Dazeem.

I mean, yow. If that’s not motivation to stick with a healthy living lifestyle, I don’t know what is. Hot mommas for the win!

As you can tell, icy and sparkly (and nude) was kind of a major trend. There was a sea of them on the red carpet (Frozen inspired, perhaps?), which made any color pop out even more (helloooooo, Lupita!).

Since some of my favorites were non-moms, I have to include a few of the spawnless ladies too!

Lupita was hands down my favorite look of the night. She is absolutely gorgeous and that dress! I wish I had somewhere to go and an unlimited budget to go to it with and a body that was less squishy because that dress is aaaaah-mazing and I want it.

Aside from the fashion and hot mommas that ruled the roost, the show was actually a lot of fun last night. Ellen was a great host who seemed to know that a party isn’t a party without pizza and selfies.

Celeb social media sharing was beyond amusing as well.

There were also tons of hilarious photobombs and a fantastic, momma loving acceptance speech from Jordan Catalano (er, Jared Leto).

Your turn. What was your favorite part of the night and which dress did you love best?
