We all know that I’m a major awards show geek, right? I get super excited about it (even in years when I haven’t heard of half of the stuff they’re talking about, like this year). I camp out on my couch all eager and squirmy. I suddenly become super opinionated and love and loathe all of the dresses. In fact, the dresses are generally my favorite part—except for acceptance speeches that make me cry (Michael Keaton!). Those are good too.
But this year was different. This year, there was an undercurrent of feminism running through the night that was so awesome to see. In case you missed it, I picked three of my favorite girl power moments to highlight.
