Can we agree that getting something special in the mail—and I mean fun special not jury duty special—is exciting no matter what age you are? Then why not make someone you love happy not just one time, but stretch that feeling out over a few months by gifting them a subscription box service? There are tons of options out there, but I’ve rounded up five for you here.
Kids usually fall under two categories when it comes to buying gifts: insanely easy or completely impossible. The easy ones love everything and will be thrilled just to open something (that would be Ellie). The impossible ones have everything and are usually at in-between ages that make it difficult for even them to know what they like (that would be Samantha).
Since I have a wee bit of experience in these things, I thought I’d put together a list of fun and different gift ideas for kids that will be sure to excite all of the little boogers.
Kind of tired of seeing the same old holiday gift guides for guys that are filled with money clips and bar ware and mustaches, I thought I’d turn to Bad Dad to get a solid list of gift ideas for men—while semi-sneakily collecting ideas for the back-to-back-to-back Christmas, birthday, Valentine’s Day stretch coming my way. Um, what was I thinking?!
With the oncoming holiday season, I am here to tell you what to get all those bad dads out there. Do you know a guy like me? A nerd? An asshole? A closet fascist? All rolled into one devilishly delicious and handsome package? Here it is: The Bad Dad 2014 Holiday Gift Guide.
I don’t know about you, but my belly is full of all of the turkey and potatoes and stuffing and desserts I shoved in my face yesterday. I don’t think I can eat for a week.
I’m full and I want to burrow into a nice cocoon—not maneuver though stores filled with lunatics who will claw my eyes out if it means they can grab the last Rainbow Loom before I do. No thank you.
Instead, I’ll sit back, relax in the noisiness of my own home (or my in-laws’ home if you want to get specific), and plot my moves for Cyber Monday. That’s when I do most of my holiday shopping. And because I love you so much, I thought I’d write you a nice little post on how I save money shopping online, at home, in my pajamas, with only my own crazies clawing at me.
If you’re anything like me, you need to be comfortable when holiday shopping. Cute heels and fitted dresses may be super cute, but not when you may need to pounce at a moment’s notice (it’s a warzone out there, kids!).
The thought of dressed up and super chic vs. comfy casual immediately made me think of girl-crush worthy Emma Watson. That girl can rock an amazing gown on the red carpet and she looks adorable while running errands or hopping onto a plane. Love her!

Loose and stretchy, this look is absolutely perfect for a day full of power shopping and maneuvering your way through crowded aisles. It’s definitely going to be my holiday shopping uniform this year! What will you wear?
Today I’m linking up with Monday Mingle, where a bunch of fab ladies come together in the name of fashion! Click the photo at left for tons of inspiration!
