If you follow me on Pinterest, you might have noticed that I’ve gone on a bit of an outdoor living binge. We moved at the end of last summer and didn’t have much time to get our backyard set up in a way that functions for us before the weather turned (brutally) cold. Now that we’ve had some warm days and the girls have finally been spending more time outside, I’m itching to work on our yard and set up a space that will allow us to comfortably enjoy fresh air all summer long.

Last summer, we (and by we I mean my husband, father-in-law, and brother) took down the old, broken above ground pool that was in the yard. We’re left with a big, sandy open space. I have visions of turning this space into a little patio where we can have a bunch of seating and—eventually—a fire pit.

I’m loving the idea of bright, cheery pops of color surrounded by tons of plants and some fun spots for the kids. I want affordable (possibly DIY) seating that will let us to hang out with friends while the kids do their thing.

I’ve been quietly plotting to reopen an Etsy accessories shop next month (well, I guess the whole quiet part depends on who you ask… my husband would probably tell you that I’m anything but quiet). Actually, I’ve been talking about opening it back up for almost two years at this point, but I’ve made it my mission for March.

I’ve gotten a bunch of freelance projects recently (score) that have distracted me a bit (boo), but I’m getting back on track. I don’t have any behind the scenes shots to show for it yet, but I can share my branding inspiration board.
