As much as the holiday season should be about giving and cheer, holiday shopping can be pretty torturous. Long lines, hot stores, and cranky people as far as the eye can see (#firstworld problems, for sure).
There’s also the fact that all of the eating you’re doing has probably created a little food baby in what might have otherwise been a flat stomach (in my case, it pushes the baby pooch I can’t seem to lose into second trimester-looking status).
So what does all of this mean? You need a shopping fashion game plan. Or at least the foresight to wear a holiday shopping outfit that’s cozy and comfortable. Here’s what I’m thinking:
Forever 21 top / Gap scarf / Old Navy pants / Express bracelet / TOMS slipons
Low key and easy is the way to go. The less fuss, the better. I like this look so much, variations of it will probably be my winter uniform–shopping or not.
Not feeling like being a part of the madness? Sit at your computer with some chocolate and a nice little cup of tea and shop at home instead. This outfit would work just as well there, no?

Great code roundup…the only “shopping” I did for Cyber Monday was order my xmas cards from TinyPrints for 30 percent off…thought it was a pretty good deal.
LOVE those TOMS, I have a couple pairs and LIVE in them…perfect for mom on the go.

Christmas cards is better than nothing, right? I’ll admit, I went a little crazy. But I’d much rather go wild from my own home on Monday than brave the crazies on Friday morning!
Damn, I missed that Rifle sale!
